Occasional Papers – Number One

Occasional Papers Number One

The Journal of The Sherlock Holmes Society of London is regarded as one of the founts of Sherlockian research and scholarship within the Sherlockian world. Its popularity is such that the Honorary Editors receive more material than can be published therein.

The Publishing Sub-Committee of the Society has sought to rectify this. The publishing of ‘Occasional Papers’ allows some of those articles which have not yet been published in the Journal to be presented in a separate format. This is the first of what is hoped to be a number of ‘Occasional Papers’. This first publication takes as its theme the influences which have allowed detective fiction to develop and the influences which Arthur Conan Doyle may have felt in creating the doyen of detectives, Sherlock Holmes.

Please note that this publication is only available through Amazon Print on Demand. Please click here for Amazon UK or search for ‘Sherlock Society Occasional Papers’ in your regional Amazon marketplace where you can purchase in your preferred currency and with local posting charges.
