The Game’s Aboard!

The Game’s Afoot is the name given to our occasional pub evenings for Society members and their guests, offering entertainment and the opportunity to get together and get to know other members of the Society informally at little cost.
If you are a fan of board games, or simply interested in discovering different aspects of the Holmesian universe, our next event on 27 October is the one for you! Our very own games guru, Rakshita Patel, will introduce Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, a classic game that will give us all a chance to exercise our little grey cells! Sets will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own if you happen to have one! We will split into teams of three or four to give everyone a chance to participate.
As usual, we’ll meet in a private bar upstairs in The Cheshire Cheese pub in Little Essex Street, London WC2R 3LD – a three-minute walk from Temple tube station (not to be confused with the pub of the same name in nearby Fleet Street).
We’ll gather from the slightly earlier time of 7.00 and the games will start around 7.30 so that they can finish by 9.00. The Cheshire Cheese serves food so please arrive a little earlier if you’d like to order yourself something to eat.
These events are very popular so please book as soon as possible – there is a limit to the number that can be accommodated at the Cheshire Cheese. There is a £5 booking fee per person.
