Few images are so synonymous with the Festival of Britain as the famous emblem designed by Abram Games, an emblem we were delighted to be allowed to adapt for the Society’s 75th anniversary. For this talk, we will be joined by Naomi Games, daughter of Abram, and Dominic Edwardes from the Society to tell the story of the connection between the Festival of Britain and the beginnings of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London, and how that connection led to the creation of the Society’s 75th anniversary emblem.
