Our host Matthew J. Elliott makes a welcome return. He is a scriptwriter well known for the US radio series "The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes".
Matthew provided the adaptations of The Yellow Face and The Three Students for the Society.
The "sound" portion of the evening is Sherlock Holmes' Fatal Hour (AKA The Sleeping Cardinal). Made in 1931, this is Arthur Wontner's first appearance as
the Great Detective and one of the earliest Holmes talkies. For "vision", we move into the world of animation as Holmes - voiced by Michael York and John
Rhys-Davies, Holmes and Watson pit their wits against Moriarty (Malcolm McDowell)... with the help of a celebrated cat and mouse team in Tom and Jerry Meet
Sherlock Holmes. A fun way to bring the night to a close!
Applications should be sent to arrive not later than Friday 9th November.
